SARG spectrograph and Asteroseismology

Asteroseismological analysis of stellar oscillation frequencies allows to measure fundamental stellar parameters with an unprecedent accuracy. Results from space missions like Corot and Kepler have improved our understanding of stellar interior. By the way, also ground-based facilities have demonstrated to be suitable for such investigations. The SARG spectrograph was placed at the Nasmyth B focus of TNG in 2000 as a multi-purpose instrument, mainly for high precision radial velocities surveys. Now it is decommissioned and substitute by HARPS-N. After its removal from TNG I summarize the asteroseismological studies obtained with this instrument and its fate. In fact in the next future SARG will be probably installed at the 182 cm telescope at Mt. Ekar observing station (Vicenza, Italy), allowing more visibility to this INAF facility.
