The Characterization of Exoplanet Atmospheres: current challenges and future prospects

The characterization of exoplanets atmospheres is one of the strategic lines of research of modern astrophysics. In this talk I will review some of the basic results that have been obtained so far exploiting different techniques. I will discuss the challenges and the prospects for the study of exoplanets atmospheres using currently available instrumentation and future facilities. I will then briefly describe the observational program I am conducting in this context.
